About Me

Hi and Welcome to my Blog!

I decided to write this blog not because I think I know better than you or that I can teach you something that you don’t know. This blog is just a collection of my thoughts that I find interesting; that have made me pause for a moment; that have questioned my age-old concepts and beliefs; that at times have confused me more than ever; that have given more depth to my life.  I am sharing with a hope that these reflections make you smile, think and give a little encouragement.

I grew up in Mumbai, India in a traditional household with modest means.  I left home for college at the age of 17 and then to the United States for graduate studies.  Life was on a usual track when I stumbled upon the Art of Living Foundation (AOLF).  I was deeply touched by Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar’s teachings and his techniques based on Yoga and Meditation.  I became a volunteer instructor with the AOLF at the age of 29 and have been teaching meditation workshops for the last 14 years.  I have led numerous personal excellence and leadership development workshops for senior executives at many Fortune 500 companies and Governmental agencies.

At the age of 31, I left my well-paid job and promising career in Silicon Valley to go work for a small consulting company with a purpose, a company that donates 100% of its net profit to social causes.  My work and volunteer engagements with AOLF have made me travel to distant places and has given me exposure to varied cultures.

Currently, I work as the CEO of a personal and beauty care company and serve on boards of a few for-profit and not-for-profit organizations.
